Boot DT315BT from a USB Drive
Objectives
- Boot a
DT Research DT315BT from a USB drive.
Prerequisites
- DT
Research DT315BT tablet.
- Docking
station with AC adapter.
- USB
keyboard.
Instructions
- Plug
the AC adapter into port on the back of the docking station.
- Plug
the AC adapter into a power outlet.
- Plug
the USB drive into one of the USB ports on the back of the docking
station.
- Place
the tablet on the docking station.
- Plug
USB keyboard into the USB port on the left side of the tablet.
- Press
and release the power button on the right side of the tablet.
- As
soon as you release the power button, begin pressing Esc about once
per second.
- The
tablet will display a graphical utility for selecting the boot options.
- If
the tablet continues booting up normally instead of displaying the
graphical utility, wait for it to finish booting up, shut it down, and
try again.
- Use
the arrow keys to select Boot Manager and press Enter.
- On the
Boot Manager screen, use the arrow keys to select the device you
want to boot from and press Enter.
- USB
drives will be named according to the manufacturer and model of the USB
drive.
- USB
drives are usually listed under Legacy USB.
- Use
the arrow keys to select "Install FullCount..." and press Enter.
**Note: OS image version 7.3.1 may stall at a 100% loading bar on the
last step of the installation process. A long-press of the power button
still shut down the tablet. The tablet will boot with the latest image
when it's powered on again.
