How to change the RP-600 USB to WinDriver mode Using FEED button

Objectives

Change the RP-600 printer from API Mode to WinDriver Mode.

Prerequisites

1. Partner Tech printer plugged in to AC power.

Instructions

  1. Do the printer self-test page first by holding down the FEED button while powering on the printer. You will find the default setting is “API mode” under "Interface Mode."
    • **Note: If the paper is not printing text, make sure the paper is facing the right direction, seated correctly, and is the correct type of paper.
  2. Press and hold the FEED button to enter the printer setting menu. Press the FEED button 3 times and then press and hold FEED button to enter “Configuration.”
  3. Press the FEED button 3 times and then press and hold FEED button to enter “Communication.”
  4. Press the FEED button 2 times and press and hold FEED button to enter “Usb  Interface.”
  5. Press the FEED button 2 times and press and hold FEED button to select  “WinDriver mode.”
  6. Press the FEED button 1 time and then press and hold FEED button to select  “Back to Last Menu.”
  7. Press the FEED button 2 times and then press and hold FEED button to select  “Exit With Save.”
  8. Power off the printer then do the printer self-test page again. You should find the USB Interface mode has change to “WinDriver Mode” already.  If not, please re-do steps 2~7 again
