Prerequisites
1. NOTE: This article assumes the network card in the printer is model E04. If you are unsure of of what network module you have, each card should have a tag that either says E04 or E03 (see image below under instructions). If you need the instructions for the E03 model, Click Here.
2. This article pertains to Epson Models:
TM-U220B - Ethernet
3. The printer will need to be plugged directly into a windows PC or on the
same physical network.
4. The article assumes that the printer is reset to factory default IP of
192.168.192.168
Instructions
1) To verify that the printer's network information is set to the factory faults (IP 192.168.192.168), press and hold the reset button located near the Ethernet port (see image below). When the printer starts to print the information sheet release the reset button.
If the IP Address is not 192.168.192.168,
and it is necessary to reset to factory defaults do the following:
For Model TM-U220 Printer:
Turn the power to the printer
OFF. Note: The power switch cover will likely be on so you may need a pin
or paper clip to access the power switch.
Press and hold the reset button
located near the ether net port
While still holding the reset
button, turn the power to the printer ON.
When you hear the printer start to
print the messages saying factory reset in process, Release the reset

occurring.
The printer will then print a
message saying that the reset is complete.

communicate. If the printer is not reset to the factory default then just
set the PC on an address that is the same to the left as the last decimal, but
different to the right. (SSS.SSS.SSS.DDD)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
