Enable Power Button Dialog Prompt on NSG Tablets Running 8.0.0+

Objectives

1. Enable Power Button Dialog prompt that prevents NSG tablet users from accidentally powering off their tablets.

 

Prerequisites

1. An NSG 8 or NSG 10 with OS Image 8.0.0 or higher.

2. A remote connection.

 

Instructions

1. Run the command:

      # power-button-toggle

2. A message will appear indicating that the power button now has confirmation dialog

3. Users will now see a prompt if they accidentally press the power button when picking up the tablet.

4. You can turn this off by running the command again.

 

Note: If a user clicks the posapp application while this dialog appears, the dialog box will disappear behind posapp. It has a 10-second timeout which will close the dialog, and it will need to close before it will appear on screen again with another power key press.
