Charge Account Exclusions
This feature will allow communities to stop users from closing checks to customers with a charge account that has specified item type – customer type exclusions.
Back Office Set-Up
The set-up for this feature is located under the Charge Accounts page.
Add each customer type – item type combination that customer with this charge account are not allowed to close on account.
Touchscreen Process
When a user goes to close a check, the system will check if the customer being assigned to the check has any charge account exclusions. This check will not occur on other forms of payment checks. If there are exclusions, the system will prompt the user to ask if they would like to create a new check for the items that cannot be closed to the customer. The message will also display what items will be on the new check. If the user selects yes, the system will create a new check for the items that cannot be closed and close the check with the items that are allowed. If no items on the check can be closed to the customer, the system will prompt with an error message telling the user to select a different form of payment.
For quick split and close, the system will create the check, but will not close if any items on the check are part of the charge account exclusion.
