Unlock Archiva Admin Account

Objectives

  1. Unlock administrative account(s) for Archiva.

Prerequisites

  1. Ability to log into devtools.fullcount.net via SSH.

Instructions

If the password expires on the admin account for Archiva before it is changed, the account will be locked. Follow the steps below, to unlock the account.

  1. Log in to devtools.fullcount.net via ssh.
  2. Stop tomcat via /srv/apache-tomcat-6.0.26/bin/shutdown.sh
  3. Delete the archiva and user directories located at /srv/apache-tomcat-6.0.26/database or /root/database.
  4. Start Tomcat via /srv/apache-tomcat-6.0.26/bin/startup.sh
  5. Set up admin user.
  6. Give privileges to guest and admin user to browse repos.
