Plan Tax Exclusions

This feature should be utilized when communities do not want to charge tax on certain items when they are covered by the plan. Once they are part of an overage, tax is charged.

The system will take tax off of the transactions when they are created as part of the close process. The items will display with tax on the point of sale. If a transaction is not fully covered by the remaining balance, it will be split into two separate transactions, one with tax, one without.

Add rows under Tax Exclusion for the item type – customer type combinations that should not be taxed while the plan still has a balance.
