Quick Start Configure 7.3.0+ Device With Wireless Network
This article contains two different methods of accomplishing the same task - configuring your POS with a wireless network connection. The first set of instructions, Taskbar Icon, is the fastest and simplest way but may not work for you if the network is not discoverable or if configuring the network requires more than a simple passphrase. Scroll down to Connections Menu for another set of instructions that is for more advanced configuration.
Taskbar Icon
1. Plug in a USB keyboard. Press the Windows (Super/Meta) key to launch the Start menu and touch the Wi-Fi icon next to the carrot "^" in the bottom right corner of the screen.
2. Locate the desired network and touch Connect. Enter in the password and touch Connect.
3. You are finished. Touch the drop-down and go to Details to verify the device has an IP address. Tap outside of the dialog to return to the application.
Connections Menu
1. Plug in a USB keyboard. Press the Windows (Super/Meta) key to launch the Start menu and touch System Settings.
2. Go to Connections on the left side. In the Connections menu, touch the "+" icon to create a new Connection.
3. Touch Wi-Fi for your hardware based connection. Touch + Create.
4. Choose an SSID by typing in the name of the network or touching the drop-down to choose from available (non-hidden) networks. Naming the connection at the top of the screen is optional.
5. Navigate from the Wi-Fi menu at the top to Wi-Fi Security. The Security field should automatically be populated. Enter in the network password and press Save when finished.
6. You may check the status of your connection by touching
the connectivity icon next to the carrot "^" in the taskbar, tapping
the desired connection, and going to Details to verify an IP address has been
assigned to the device. Tap outside of the dialog on-screen to be brought back
to the application.
