Configure a Static IP Address for a 7.3.0+ Device
**Note: This article assumes that a network connection has already been established.
1. Plug in a USB keyboard. Press the Windows (Super/Meta) key to launch the Start menu and touch the network icon next to the carrot "^" in the bottom right corner of the screen.
2. Find the connection that needs to be configured and touch Configure. If this is a wired device, it will likely be called Wired Connection 1. If this is a wireless device, it will be the name of the wireless network that you have already authenticated with. If you have not connected to Wi-Fi yet on your wireless device, do so before proceeding and ask support@fullcount.net for instructions if needed.
3. Navigate to the sub-menu IPv4. Change the method
to Manual by touching the drop-down and selecting it from the list.
Touch Add to begin entering in the static information.
4. Type in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway in the
appropraite columns. Touch Apply to apply your configuration.
5. Touch the icon next to DNS Servers to edit the list of DNS servers.
6. Type in a DNS server address and touch Add to add
it to the list of DNS servers. It is recommended to have at least two in your
list while three is the maximum. Use Move Up and Move Down to
adjust the priority of which DNS server is leveraged first and so on. Touch Ok
when you are finished.
7. Touch Apply to save your changes. Verify your configuration by touching the network icon in the bottom right corner and going to Details or go to System Settings --> Connections.
