Instructions
Pre-Install
- Place
the Tablet on its docking station and insert the keyboard.
- Turn
tablet on with a keyboard inserted. On BIOS/UEFI splash page, press Esc to
enter the setup utility. Enter “qwerty” for the password.
- Arrow
to the right to the “Save & Exit” tab.
- Choose
“Restore Defaults.” Press Enter and choose “Yes” when prompted to load
optimized defaults.
- Set
the Sleep Button for the battery swap by navigating to the
"Advanced" tab, choose "Sleep Button Select" and then
choose "F4"
- Choose
“Save Changes and Reset” then press Enter on “Yes.”
Install
- Insert
USB drive with FullCount image. Power on the tablet.
- When
the splash screen displays, press F11 to bring up the boot menu.
- Select
“UEFI: PNY” and press enter.
Note: This drive name may be different depending on USB
drive used, it should always have ‘UEFI’ in front of the drive name.
- Grub
will load and display a menu. Choose “Install FullCount 7.X.X” and press
enter.
- The
installer will install and reboot when it is finished. The process takes
4-5 minutes. When it reboots, unplug the USB drive. The new image should
be installed.
Note: Sometimes after installation the EFI Shell will
boot first instead of the hard disk. To fix this, press "F11" at the
BIOS splash page, enter "QWERTY" as the password, and choose the
"UEFI OS (PO: XXX-XXXXX-64G-XXX)" device. If this still does not
allow the system to boot normally, press "F11" at the BIOS splash
page, enter "QWERTY" as the password, choose "Enter Setup,"
navigate to the Boot tab, highlight "Boot Option #1," press
"Enter," then choose "UEFI OS (PO: XX-XXXXX-64G-XXX)." Then
press "F4" and save your settings.
Post-Install
- Verify
the OS image version. With a keyboard, press ctrl+alt+F9 to view the
FullCount Support page. The OS image version is listed under “General
Information.”
- Verify
the serial number was correctly pulled from the BIOS. On the FullCount
Support page, the serial number is also listed under “General
Information.”
