Copy Certificates to Filesystems for Enterprise Networks on OS Image 7.3.1+
Objectives
Copy security certificates to a FullCount filesystem so Network Manager can load them and gain network access.
Prerequisites
Instructions
1. Plug in USB drive and keyboard into device and power on.
2. Once the browser has loaded, press the Windows key on the
keyboard. This will bring up the taskbar.
3. Press the System Settings application. Then press Connections.
4. Press the 802.1x Security tab and scroll the scroll bar at the bottom to the right. Click the "Use 802.1x security for this connection" checkbox.
5. Choose the Authentication type, then press the file picker button next to "CA certificate."
6. Click the USB drive under "Removable Devices." This will mount the drive and display the root of the USB drive.
7. Once the drive is mounted, press "Alt+p" on the keyboard. This will start the copy process.
8. Choose "Yes" if the drive is mounted.
9. The application will then ask if you would like to copy all certificates found on the drive. Choose "Yes."
10. A message will appear stating that all certificates have been copied to /home/touchscreen/certs. Press "OK" to exit the application.
11. When the application is finished copying, press the "Home" option under "Places" on the left-hand side of the file picker.
12. Click on the "certs" directory and choose a certificate. Supported extensions are .cer, .der, .pem, and .crt.
13. Fill out the rest of the security information based on your preferred authentication type. Hit "Apply" when done.
14. Test the connection by pressing the network icon (which can be a wired or a wireless icon) in the lower-right part of the taskbar. Click the carrot drop-down menu and then select "Details."
15. Once finished, click outside the Network Manager window, or press "Alt+Tab" to return to the application.
