FullCount POS iPad setup

Approved Models

Any model of iPad with iOS 15.1 or newer is compatible. In general, this only excludes iPads that were released prior to 2014. The latest version of FullCount POS on the iOS app store is 2.1.0

iPads can be used for the touchscreen application, self-service (2023), a KDS, Retail POS, and Batch Order Entry.

Application Download

1.     Install the FullCount POS app on the device

o   Search 'Fullcount POS' in the app store

o   App Store Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fullcount-pos/id6738665376

Device Registration

  1. Create an entry in Device Management for the new hardware. Needed information for each device:
    1. Serial Number
      • Found in Settings -> General -> About
    2. Model Name
      • Found in Settings -> General -> About
      • If you're unable to find the correct iPad model in device management, ask a member of the systems team to add it to our database. Because there are so many iPad models available, adding these models to device management is an ongoing process where they're only added as needed.
    3. Role

1.               Set the device role to "Non-FullCount Tablet".

        1. If the device will be used for Self-Service (2023), Retail POS, Batch Order Entry, or KDS, add the corresponding role IN ADDITION to the "Non-FullCount Tablet" role
  1. Create a terminal entry for the community
    1. Just like any other device, set up a terminal for the community with all the required information (serial number and description).
      • If you would like the device to automatically log in, set a default user, default department, default mode, and set auto login to "Yes

Device Setup

  1. Open the "FullCount POS" app on the device. You'll immediately be prompted with this screen:
  2. Copy and paste the serial number from the device settings into the input box above and tap "Update". The device will automatically refresh and bring you into the application.

Support Drawer

To open the support drawer. Drag your finger from left to right starting at the left edge of the screen. At this time, the support drawer will allow you to view some device specific information and allow you to update/remove the serial number or refresh the application.

If your device is configured to use Self-Service (2023), Retail POS, or Batch Order entry, you can also disable the native iOS keyboard in the support drawer, however, this should only be done under special circumstances. Most of the time, this setting should remain enabled (which is the default). For Self-Service, if the devices needs to allow/disallow the keyboard popping up on the Check-In screen, this should be done via role functions. If the user signed into Self-Service has the role function "Check-In Administration", the keyboard will be enabled on the Check-In screen. If the user does not have this role, than customers will only be able to check-in to self-service via scanning.
