Colors/Themes

Community colors provide additional customization for communities to style their touchscreen point of sale systems. Each community has a list of configurable colors that can be accessed within the Backoffice application. In order to configure community colors, a user must navigate to the “Community” tab, and then to the “Colors” sub-tab.

Configuring Community Colors

Within the "Colors" sub-tab, a user can create a color by giving it a name as well as using the color picker to select a color. A user can also select a color by entering a hexadecimal value into the color picker dialog.

The list of colors defined in the colors page can be used for several different configurations within the backoffice that effect the appearance of menus, items, notes, and floor plan table shapes. The list of colors can also be used to select a default color for item types and tables.

There are no restrictions on what name a color can have. For example, if a community would like to use a yellow color to represent all of their beverage items they do not have to name the color "Yellow", they could simply name the color "Beverages".

Note: Hexadecimal values can't be repeated. For example, a community cannot have two colors with a hexadecimal value of #000000 regardless of whether or not the colors are named differently.

Upon the creation of each new community instance, each community’s color table will be populated with the following 17 colors by default:
