Search for Printers & scanners from desktop

 

Select ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’

Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname' and click Next

Select TCP/IP Device and enter IP address.  Be sure the value for Port name is unique.  Generally, you can accept the default for the Port name to avoid duplicates (i.e. a ‘_1’ may be added to the end if an existing driver for this IP address already exists).

***Note:  You may need to unselect 'Query the printer and automatically select the driver use'

Select Have Disk

Select Browse

Navigate to J:\FullCount\Documentation\Office\FC_OfficePrinter\PrinterDriver_c256_iF\Generic_Plus_PCL6_v1.51_Set-up_x64\Driver and select driver

Select OK

Click Next

Adjust Printer name and click Next

Select 'Do not share this printer' and click Next

Click Finish

Select Manage

Select Printer Properties

Click on Advanced tab and Select Printing Defaults…

Select 1-sided Printing for 1-sided/2-sided/Booklet Printing.  Select Black and White for Color Mode.  Click Apply and then OK.

Select Device Settings tab.  Confirm Department ID Management selected for User Management(J).  Click on Settings… button.

Check Do Not Use Department ID Management When B&W Printing.  Click OK.

Click Apply and OK.

Click <- to return to previous page

Select OLD PRINTER and click on Remove device

Click Yes

 

The new printer driver has been installed and the old printer driver removed.
