Calibrate a Touchscreen

Objectives

Reduce the difference between the location that the user touchs on the screen and the location where the application registers a touch event.

Prerequisites

  1. A FullCount terminal with a touchscreen monitor.
  2. Power outlets for terminal and monitor.
  3. A USB keyboard.
  4. OS image (a.k.a. "FC version") 4.1 or newer.
  5. Either Elo or Pioneer 3M Touchscreen Drivers

Instructions

  1. Connect a USB keyboard to the terminal.
    1. Pioneer terminals have a USB port on the left side of the monitor.
    2. Acer terminals have USB ports on the front next to the button, or the back near the network port.
    3. POS-X terminals USB ports on the back near the network port.
       
  2. Press the 'Alt' key to the left of the spacebar, and then press and release the 'c' key.
     
  3. Touch the targets on the screen. The calibration utility will exit automatically when you’re finished.
