What does the error message look like on screen?

What does the error message mean?

Generally speaking, this error is the device/browser telling that you it cannot confirm that the domain it's trying to go to is actually what it says it is. Valid SSL certificates are used for HTTPS protocol connections and ensures that not only is your connection to the server secure but that the domain is actually what it appears to be.

Why is this happening on a FullCount device?

  1. The devcie's operating system or browser version is so old that it cannot recognize the Certificate Authority (CA) of the SSL certificate.
  2. The device's system clock is wrong.
    1. date && hwclock can be ran on the command line to check times on the device.
  3. An antivirus software may be blocking the domain.
    1. This would likely only occur on a desktop computer rather than an endpoint device running our customer Linux OS image.
  4. An unlikely, yet possible. case would be if FullCount didn't renew it's SSL certificate by its expiration date.

How do I resolve this problem?

1. Consult with a Systems resource if you run into this issue.

2. Help the customer add an exception to this error in the browser. Usually this will be hidden under an Advanced button or perhaps I Understand the Risks.
